Ground Line Pumps vs. Boom Pumps

Ground Line Pumps
Ground line pumps use a system of flexible steel and rubber pipes connected together along the ground. They are ideal for pushing concrete through narrow side alleys, around houses, or through doorways.

Boom Pumps
Boom pumps use a hydraulic crane arm (boom) that elevates the concrete pipes overhead. This allows the concrete to be piped over garden fences, garages, houses, or onto upper-floor slabs.

- High-speed discharge for large structural volumes

Pump Setup Requirements
1. Priming Slurry: To start the pump, we must run a cement-and-water priming slurry through
the pipes to lubricate them. The driver brings this slurry, but we need a safe area (like a plastic bucket or
a wheelbarrow) to capture the initial discharge.
2. Cleanout Space: After the pour, the pump pipes must be washed out. We require a wash-out
box or a designated plastic sheet area to clean the pump hopper.
